A Long Goodbye is a short narrative game centered around two old friends who have to say their final goodbye over a phone conversation.

The game focuses on using a realistic conversation structure, with each reply moving the conversation down a new winding path. Play through multiple times to explore new topics and learn more about the characters, their shared history, estrangement, and the things left unsaid.

This game is mouse only, and contains swearing.

All design, art and programming was done by myself in Unity. You can read a write-up of how I made the game here!

This game was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing your idea.

I loved how you were able to develop such meaningful dialogue that didn't feel empty in such a short time. My first little conversation before the end was only 7 minutes and something, and it was still enough to make me tear up.

Thank you so much for playing! It's good to hear that you enjoyed it :)

wow thanks for the video! It looks like there's some scaling issues, so I've made an update to the game that fingers crossed helps with it.

It's not the game issue, that's the way I cut my videos. It's fine. Thank you for making such a great game, I really love these type of games and you nailed the atmosphere. I sincerely hope you will make more!!!

Nice little game, I enjoyed the story, probably just wish instead of smalltalk we got to get attached more to the characters, and also more features with the magnifying glass

hey thanks for playing! I totally get your point with the magnifying glass.
